Fan Jianping, Ph.D., Professor.Professor Fan is the dean of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the director of the research center for High Performance Computing. He received the Ph.D. degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1990. Prior to SIAT, he had been the project leader in the Institute of Computing Technology, deputy chief engineer in the national research center for intelligent computing systems，director of national engineering center on High Performance Computing and vice director of the Institute of Computing Technology. He had been in charge of and involved in developing the Dawning 1, Dawning 1000, Dawning 3000, Dawning 4000 and other series of Dawning supercomputers. He had made outstanding contribution on helping the Downing system to be on the advanced international level. Professor Fan had been the principal investigator for more than a dozen projects of national level. He had applied more than 20 patents and published more than 100 papers and 1 book. Professor Fan has received many awards, such as outstanding award of CAS science and technology progress, first prize of the national science and technology progress award，first prize of Beijing science and technology progress award, national award for youth in science and technology and the outstanding young scientist of CAS. He has selected as the outstanding individual of 863 program, outstanding individual of the national key technologies R&D program of China during the 9th Five-Year Plan period.
Xu Chengzhong，Professor, Chair Scientist, and Director of the Institute of Advanced Computing and Digital Engineering and Director of the Research Center for Cloud Computing at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT),Chinese Academy of Science .Professor, Director of the Computer Systems and Networking Laboratory at Wayne State University.
Research Interests: Parallel and distributed systems, Internet and cloud computing, high-performance computing.He received his PhD. in 1993 and joined in Wayne State University in 1995. He has received numerous awards in teaching and research. He has published over 160 SCI/EI papers, including over 50 papers in top IEEE/ACM conferences and other first-class journals. He has received twelve research funding and awards from the National Science Foundation of the United States of American, and a tech-contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), with a total amount of over five million US dollars. He pioneers the research on performance, reliability, and energy consumption of large-scale computer systems. Many of his research findings have been successfully transferred to international organizations, such as NASA, General Motors, and Huawei.
Chen Jinsong，Ph.D, Researcher, associate director of Center for Spatial-information. He graduated from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2004 with a doctorate degree. From 2004 to 2011, he worked in the Chinese university of Hong Kong as a postdoctoral and professor. Then, he joined the Shenzhen institute of advanced technology, Chinese academy of sciences. Now, published more than 30 papers (include 14 SCI articles) and 1 monographs. Additionally, he participated in a number of innovation project of Chinese academy of sciences, and leaded the Hong Kong many scientific research fund, the national 863 project, academy of sciences pilot projects and special environmental protection projects. Research direction: spatial and environmental big data processing methods; Multi-source spatial and environmental data assimilation and information fusion methods; Regional ecological environment evolution rules and trend prediction.
Feng Shengzhong，Ph.D. Professor.Professor Feng is the vice director of the research center for High Performance Computing in SIAT. He received the Ph.D. degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1997. Prior to joining SIAT, professor Feng has worked as an associate professor in the Institute of Computing technology and a visiting professor in the University of Toronto. He is a standing director of the Mathematics Software Association in China, committee of the high performance computing of China Computer Federation. Professor Feng's research interest includes high performance computing, cloud computing and bioinformatics. He has published more than 40 research papers which are indexed by SCI/EI, and applied more than 20 patents. Professor Feng is the principle investigator of many national level projects, such as 863 program, NSFC projects, etc.
Huang Xiaoxia，Associate Professor. She is Executive Director of the Center for Real-Time Monitoring and Communications Technologies (CRTMCT). She received the B.E. and M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2000 and 2002, respectively. She studied abroad to US in 2003 and received her Ph.D. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering, State University of Florida, in 2007. Her research interest includes wireless sensor networks, cognitive radio networks, wireless communications and mobile computing. She has served on TPC of IEEE WCNC 2011、ICC 2011、IEEE Globecom2011、QShine 2010、International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing 2010. She has served as a reviewer of many prestigious journals and conferences, for instance, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, ACM Wireless Networks. She has published 20 papers on the top conference and journal of wireless networks and communications, with a coauthor of an academic work. The six patents of wireless networks are pending trial. She has served as one of the key members of the NSFC project, 863 national major projects, Shenzhen Public projects, national major projects, Guangdong Province major projects and 973 sub-project and the National Science Foundation (NSF) projects. She is one of academic leaders of Shenzhen Key Laboratory of High Performance Data Mining.
Jiang Qingshan，Ph.D., Professor. He is currently director of high performance data mining laboratory, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Integration Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received a Ph.D.in mathematics from Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan, in 1996; and a Ph.D. in computer science from University of Sherbrooke, Canada, in 2002. In 1999, he worked as a post-doc fellow at The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, University of Toronto, Canada. He is State Council allowance winner and Shenzhen local level leading talent. Research interests include data mining, network security, social computing and public opinion analysis, bio-computing, business intelligence, software and information service outsourcing, mathematical models and financial engineering. He published more than 120 papers on academic journals and international top conference SIGKDD. Research work supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, NSERC Canada Foundation, the National High Technology Research and Development Program("863"Program), Special Project on the Integration of Industry, Education and Research of Shenzhen City and Guangdong Province.
Yu Zhibin，Ph.D., Professor. He received his PhD degree in computer science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2008. He visited the Laboratory of Computer Architecture (LCA) of ECE of the University of Texas at Austin for one year and he worked at Ghent University as a postdoctoral researcher for half a year. Now he is a professor in SIAT. His research interests are micro-architecture simulation, computer architecture, workload characterization and generation, performance evaluation, multi-core architecture, GPGPU architecture, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, big data processing and so forth. He won the first award in teaching contest of HUST young lectures in 2005 and the second award in teaching quality assessment of HUST in 2003. He is a member of IEEE and ACM. He serves for ISCA 2013, MICRO 2014, ISCA 2015, and HPCA 2015.
Ye Li, Phd in Arizona State University, Director of the Center for Biomedical Information Technology. Research Field: Wearabl e devices and health IoT (Internet of Things) system,health informatics. He has published more than 90 research papers which are indexed by SCI/EI, and a pplied more than 80 patents. Professor Li is the principle investigator of many national level projects, such as 863 program, NSFC projects, etc.
Zhang Qingling，Ph.D, researcher, associate director of Center for Spatial-information. Ph.D., Geography (Remote Sensing) Boston University. 2011.09 —2014.8, he worked in Yale University ( Yale School of Forestry and Environmental) as a Research Scientist , Studies. Research direction: Global environmental monitoring and change with remote sensing; Change detection algorithm development; Global urbanization and sustainability; Remote sensing of land-use and land-cover change; Agriculture land loss under urbanization; Geographic information science and spatial statistics. successively participated in a number of America's national aeronautics and space administration (NASA) research fund projects. Moreover, he has published one monograph, 10 papers on SCI journals, including several papers registered by Environmental Remote Sensing which is the top journal of Remote Sensing field.

Wang Yang，Yang Wang received the BSc degree in applied mathematics from Ocean University of China (1989), and the MSc and Ph.D degrees in computer science from Carleton University (2001) and University of Alberta, Canada (2008), respectively. He once worked with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (2010-2012), IBM Centre for Advanced Studies-Atlantic, University of New Brunswick, Canada (2012-2014), and Illinois Institute of Technology (2014-2015). He is now a professor in Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Science, China. His research interests include Cloud computing,big data analytics, and Java Virtual Machine on multicores. He is an Alberta Industry R\&D Associate (2009-2011), and a Canadian Fulbright Fellow (2014-2015).
Cai Yunpeng, Ph.D in Tsinghua University, Department of Computer Science and Technology. Research Field: Bioinformatics , Health Informatics , machine learning , metagenomic. He has published more than 50 research papers, including Nucleic Acids Research, Briefings in Bioinformatics, The ISME Journal and some other respected journals, cited over 700times, and the highest one reaches 220times. he is the principle investigator of NSFC projects.
Wei Yanjie, Professor Yanjie obtained his B.S. degree in applied physics from Sichuan University in 2004, and his PHD degree in computational biophysics from Michigan Technological University in 2007. From Mar. 2008 to Jun. 2011, he was a postdoctoral research associate in the department of biological and chemical engineering at Princeton University. His research interests include computational biology and bioinformatics, focusing on protein folding and structure prediction, gene sequence analysis etc. Using high performance computing algorithms and optimization algorithms, he wants to solve several key issues in these areas. He has around 30 publications in high-quality journals including Proteins, BMC Bioinformatics, J. of Chemical Physics, J. of Physical Chemistry B, Oncotarget, etc. His research is supported by NSFC, National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 program), Shenzhen Peacock Plan, Science Technology and Innovation Committee of Shenzhen Municipality.
Zhang Yun，Ph.D.,Professor. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China, in 2010. His research interests are video compression, 3D video processing, and visual perception. He has authored over 40 high quality papers, 13 of them are published on IEEE Transactions, including IEEE Trans. Broadcast. IEEE Trans. Image Process. IEEE Trans. Circuits Syst. Video Technol., IEEE Trans. Indust. Electron., and has filed 11 CN patents and 2 US patents. He has been rewarded by 2009 Second Prize Scientific and Technological Advancement Award from Ministry of Education, China, First Prize Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award, First Prize Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Award.
Zhu Guopu，professor. He received the B.S. degree from Jilin University, China, in 2002, the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively. From 2007 to 2010, he was a post-doctoral researcher in Sun Yat-Sen University, China. He is currently an Associate Professor in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research areas are multimedia security and image processing. He has published more than 10 refereed international journal papers in these areas.
Zhang Fan，Doctor, professor. Assistant of the director of SIAT Computing and Digital Engineering.2007, incept doctoral degree of electronic and information engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.2008, Exchanges and cooperation to the City University Hong Kong.2009-2010,started postdoctoral research work at the university of new Mexico and the university of Nebraska at Lincoln in USA.Dr.Zhang Fan’s mian research direction is cloud computing security, wireless network security, digital physical systems, etc.So far,he has published more than 20 academic theses, successively presided over China postdoctoral science foundation project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (youth programs).
Li Qinglan，Professor. Education: BEng (Tianjin University, China, 1992).MEng (McGill University, Canada, 2006),PhD (Hong Kong University, Hong Kong, 2010).Before she joined in Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011, Dr. Li had worked in AECOM Asia (Hong Kong) as a Senior Environmental Consultant. She is now an associate professor in SIAT. Her research interest includes wind and rainfall forecast due to tropical cyclones (TCs); TCs’ intensity forecast; global and regional climate change; Urbanization influence on climate change; Teleconnection between ENSO and regional climate. She has been in charge of several projects: seven local innovative research projects supported by Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau and Guangdong Meteorological Bureau; one research project supported by The Innovation of Science and Technology Commission of Shenzhen Municipality. She has published more than 20 journal and international conferences papers.
Bai Tongxin，Tongxin Bai obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science at the University of Rochester, Rochester NY. From 2012 to 2014 he worked for Teradata and 0xdata on database and big data analytics. He joined SIAT in 2014. His research interests include big data systems and analytics, programming language and compiler, system and distributed software, and so on. He currently leads projects in the following research areas: asynchronized programming for deep analytics, in-memory big data systems and network performance analysis for distributed system.
Cheng Zhanglin，Associate professor. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Institute of Automation, CAS in 2008. His research interests generally lie in computer graphics, visual computing, focusing specifically on 3D urban modeling, classification and 3D plant modeling. He is leading projects on large-scale plant modeling and urban modeling.
Liu Zhihua，Dr. Zhihua Liu received his Ph.D. degree from SEU and as a research fellow at HSPH. Since 2009, he worked as Principal Investigator at PUMC and then as CTO at Biomarker Inc. His main research interests include network medicine, big data mining, computational biology, evolutionary bioinformatics and system biology.

He has published more than 20 research papers and 1 chapter of monograph. He is the inventor of 1 national patent and 2 software copyrights, with 10 patents application accepted. His research interests focus on mobile cloud computing, big data analytics, and VANET.

Zhang Yong，Ph.D., Associate Professor.Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. degree from Fudan University. Prior to joining SIAT, he has worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow in TU-Berlin and senior research associate in the University of Hong Kong. In recent years, Dr. Zhang has involved in many research projects including NSFC key project, 863 program, key program of CAS, etc. His research interests include design and analysis of algorithms, graph algorithms, online algorithms, computational complexity, etc. Dr. Zhang has published more than 60 research papers in refereed journals and conferences.
Feng Liangbing，senior engineer, received Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from Yamaguchi University, Japan, in 2011. My research focuses on machine learning and computer vision. I had proposed the intelligent models - Learning Petri Nets, which combines Petri net and reinforcement learning, neural networks, and this model using in robot system control, automated reasoning, data clustering and system optimization, and so on. In computer vision, I have studied on 3D reconstruction based on Multi-view stereo and tensor voting. Now, I am working on object recognition, image retrieval using deep learning.
Mao Chenghua，Senior Engineer. He received the M.S. Department of Electronics Science & Technology from Huazhong University Science and Technology in 2005. Mao has many years’ hardware development experiences on Consumer electronic products and communication electronic products. Some kinds of these products are in wide use. Since July of 2010, Chenghua Mao is the hardware of the Center for Real-time Monitoring and Communications Technology in Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT).

Huang Qingsheng,PhD, assistant professor.He received his PhD degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 2011; he worked as visiting scholar in Wallace H. Coulter Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2009. His research interests focus on computational biology and drug design. Liu Jin，He received his Ph.D in communication and information system from Wuhan University in 2011. He worked at network research department in HuaWei about one year, and then he joined in SIAT. His main research interests include information security, multimedia compression, data deduplication. He has published about 10 papers and applied 10 patents. At present, he has won young science grant from NSFC and basic research grant from Shenzhen city.
Qian Jing，PHD, Assistant Researcher. She obtained her PHD from Department of Geography, Hong Kong Baptist University, with special focus in Cartography and Geographical Information System (GIS). Her research directions includes urban landuse cover change (LUCC), hydrology and water resources management. She worked in Planning and Management Centre of Department of The Water Resource Bureau of Xinjiang and Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography Chinese Academy of Sciences. She had completed a project under the support of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Sun Bo，PhD, associate prefessor, received his doctor degree at Hong Kong Baptist Univesrity. Research interests include remote sensing change detection and GIS-based spatio-temporal process analysis. was engaged in the research that were funded by National Research Fund, Hong Kong UGC fund etc. More than 10 papers have been published in the international publications, including two book chapters.
Shen Yanyan，she received the Ph.D degree from City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China in 2012. From 2013 to 2014, she was a postdocal research fellow in Inha University in South Korea. She is currently an assistant professor in the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen, China. Her current research interest includes energy harvesting for wireless networks, resource optimization, and cognitive radio networks.
Wang Bin，Postdoctoral Researcher. She received her Ph.D. degree in 2012 from School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University. Before joining VCC, she worked in National University of Singapore as a Research Fellow till Apr. 2014. From Aug. 2010 to Aug. 2012, she visited the Sensorimotor System Lab at University of British Columbia. Her research interests are in the areas of computer graphics, physically based modeling and simulation, robotics, especially the intersection region of them. She has published two papers in the leading computer graphic journal ACM TOG.

Xu Kai，Postdoctoral Researcher. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2011 from School of Computer Science, National University of Defense Technology. From Nov. 2008 to Oct. 2010, he visited the GrUVi Lab of Simon Fraser University. His research interests are in the areas of computer graphics, especially in shape analysis, geometry processing and geometric modeling. He received the Excellent PhD Dissertation Award of PLA in 2013. He is the recipient of LU Zengyong High-tech Award on CAD&CG (2nd pleace) in 2013.
Zhou Yang，Postdoctoral Researcher. He received his Bachelor (2007) and Ph.D. (2013) degree in photogrammetry from School of Remote Sensing & Information Engineering, Wuhan University. His research interests generally lie in the areas of digital photogrammetry, computer vision and computer graphics, focusing on surface reconstruction and texture mapping. Being a core team member, he won the first-rank prize of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology Progress Award in 2012.
